One who makes no mistakes is an angel, one who makes a mistake and becomes arrogant is a
devil, and one who makes a mistake and then repents is a human. So please, always ask Allah for
forgiveness.
Whether the mistakes are small or large, when we commit them knowingly or unknowingly, and
once we realize our errors, we must turn to Allah (SWT) and ask for forgiveness immediately.
Allah (SWT) loves those who feel remorse for their mistakes and seek forgiveness sincerely.
O Allah, please forgive my all sins, be it small or big. O Allah, You are the Most Forgiving and
you love to forgive, so please forgive my all sins.
Anas reported God’s messenger as saying, "All the sons of Adam are sinners, but the best of sinners are those who are given to repentance."
Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Darimi transmitted it.
[Mishkat al-Masabih 2341]
Abu Sirma reported that when the time of the death of Abu Ayyub Ansari drew near, he said:
I used to conceal from you a thing which I heard from Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Had you not committed sins, Allah would have brought into existence a creation that would have committed sin (and Allah) would have forgiven them.
[Sahih Muslim 2748a]
In another narration:
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "By the One in Whose Hand my soul is, were you not to commit sins, Allah would replace you with a people who would commit sins and then seek forgiveness from Allah; and Allah would forgive them".
[Muslim].
[Riyad as-Salihin 422]
In one more narration:
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) having said:
By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if you were not to commit sin, Allah would sweep you out of existence and He would replace (you by) those people who would commit sin and seek forgiveness from Allah, and He would have pardoned them.
[Sahih Muslim 2749]
And seek Allah’s forgiveness—indeed, Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful. [Quran 4 : 106]
Anas bin Malik narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Allah, Blessed is He and Most High, said: ‘O son of Adam! Verily as long as you called upon Me and hoped in Me, I forgave you, despite whatever may have occurred from you, and I did not mind. O son of Adam! Were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky, then you sought forgiveness from Me, I would forgive you, and I would not mind. So son of Adam! If you came to me with sins nearly as great as the earth, and then you met Me not associating anything with Me, I would come to you with forgiveness nearly as great as it.’”
[Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3540]
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Verily, Allah when He created the creation, He wrote with His Hand concerning Himself, that: ‘My mercy prevails over My wrath.’”
[Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3543]
The happiest news is, Allah's mercy is greater than His anger. Just say Alhamdulillah.
The word punishment is repeated 117 times in the Holy Quran, but the word forgiveness is repeated 234 times in the Holy Quran, exactly two times more than the other.
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
There are one hundred (parts of) mercy for Allah and He has sent down out of these one part of mercy upon the jinn and human beings and animals and the insects, and it is because of this (one part) that they love one another, show kindness to one another and even the beast treats its young one with affection, and Allah has reserved ninety nine parts of mercy with which He would treat His servants on the Day of Resurrection.
[Sahih Muslim 2752c]
'Umar b. Khattab reported that there were brought some prisoners to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) amongst whom there was also a woman, who was searching (for someone) and when she found a child amongst the prisoners, she took hold of it, pressed it against her chest and provided it suck. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:
Do you think this woman would ever afford to throw her child in the Fire? We said: By Allah, so far as it lies in her power, she would never throw the child in Fire. ' Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Allah is more kind to His servants than this woman is to her child.
[Sahih Muslim 2754]
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“If you were to commit sin until your sins reach the heaven, then you were to repent, your repentance would be accepted.”
[Sunan Ibn Majah 4248]
(Allah) says: “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves (by evil deeds)! Don’t despair of the Mercy of Allah, surely Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Forgiving, Merciful.
[Quran 39:53]
As a human being, if I commit a sin, I will repent immediately. In shaa Allah.
Allah SWT said in the Quran:
...He is always ready to accept repentance. [Quran 110:3]
O my lord, please forgive my all sins, be it small or big. The first and the last, that I have committed in public or in secret.
Abu Hurairah said:
The prophet (ﷺ) used to say when prostrating himself: “O Allah. Forgive me all my sins, small and great, first and last. “ the narrator Ibn al-sarh added: “open and secret.”
[Sunan Abi Dawud 878]
...“Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we will certainly be losers.” [Quran 7:23]
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“Allah rejoiced more over the repentance of anyone of you, then you rejoice over your lost animal when you find it.”
[Sunan Ibn Majah 4247]
Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:
Allah is more pleased with the repentance of a servant as he turns towards Him for repentance than this that one amongst you is upon the camel in a waterless desert and there is upon (that camel) his provision of food and drink also and it is lost by him, and he having lost all hope (to get tbat) lies down in the shadow and is disappointed about his camel and there he finds that camel standing before him. He takes hold of his nosestring and then out of boundless joy says: 0 Lord, Thou art my servant and I am Thine Lord. He commits this mistake out of extreme delight.
[Sahih Muslim 2747a]
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "He who repents before the sun rises from the west, Allah will forgive him".
[Muslim].
[Riyad as-Salihin 17]
Ibn `Umar narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“Indeed Allah accepts the repentance of a slave as long as (his soul does not reach his throat).”
[Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3537]
'Abdullah bin 'Umar bin Al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with them) reported that:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Allah accepts a slave's repentance as long as the latter is not on his death bed (that is, before the soul of the dying person reaches the throat)".
[At-Tirmidhi, who categorised it as Hadith Hasan].
[Riyad as-Salihin 18]
O Allah, grant me sincere repentance before death and forgive my all sins small and big. [Ameen ya Rabbul Alameen]
...Our Lord, forgive our sins, delete our evil deeds, and when we die count us among the righteous. [Quran 3:193]
Does Allah forgive us after repeated sins? If a person commits a sin and after that asks Allah for His forgiveness and then again commits the same sin and again asks for His forgiveness, does Allah forgive that person every time?
Narrated Abu Huraira:
I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "If somebody commits a sin and then says, 'O my Lord! I have sinned, please forgive me!' and his Lord says, 'My slave has known that he has a Lord who forgives sins and punishes for it, I therefore have forgiven my slave (his sins).' Then he remains without committing any sin for a while and then again commits another sin and says, 'O my Lord, I have committed another sin, please forgive me,' and Allah says, 'My slave has known that he has a Lord who forgives sins and punishes for it, I therefore have forgiven my slave (his sin). Then he remains without Committing any another sin for a while and then commits another sin (for the third time) and says, 'O my Lord, I have committed another sin, please forgive me,' and Allah says, 'My slave has known that he has a Lord Who forgives sins and punishes for it I therefore have forgiven My slave (his sin), he can do whatever he likes."
[Sahih al-Bukhari 7507]
In another hadith.
Abu Huraira reported from Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) that his Lord, the Exalted and Glorious, thus said. A servant committed a sin and he said:
O Allah, forgive me my sins, and Allah (the Exalted and Glorious) said: My servant commited a sin and then he came to realise that he has a Lord Who forgives the sins and takes to account (the sinner) for the sin. He then again committed a sin and said: My Lord, forgive me my sin, and Allah, the Exalted and High, said: My servant committed a sin and then came to realise that he has a Lord Who would forgive his sin or would take (him) to account for the sin. He again committed a sin and said: My Lord, forgive me for my sin, and Allah (the Exalted and High) said: My servant sas committed a sin and then came to realise that he has a Lord Who forgives the sins or takes (him) to account for sin. O servant, do what you like. I have granted you forgiveness. 'Abd al-A'la said: I do not know whether he said thrice or four times to do" what you desire".
[Sahih Muslim 2758a]
Whenever I repeat a sin, I am completely perplexed as to whether Allah will forgive me or not and I lose hope of forgiveness. When I read this hadith, it reminded me that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful, and I am confident that Allah will forgive me again and again. In shaa Allah.
It was narrated that Ibn Ma’qil said:
“I entered with my father upon ‘Abdullah, and I heard him say: ‘The messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Regret is repentance.” My father said: ‘Did you hear the Prophet (ﷺ) say: “Regret is repentance?” He said: ‘Yes.’”
[Sunan Ibn Majah 4252]
Feeling guilty after committing sin is a sign of blessing from Allah,
give just 3 seconds to say Alhamdulillah.
Only a true Muslim thinks about repentance, because a person who does not
consider sins as sins is merely a nominal Muslim. O Allah, I am deeply grateful to You for
making me aware of my sins.
And you cannot intend (to do anything) unless it is so willed by Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. [Quran 81:29]
Abu Umamah reported: A man asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him,
“What is faith?” The Prophet said, “If you are happy with your good deeds and saddened by your bad deeds, you are a believer.”
The man said, “O Messenger of Allah, what is sin?” The Prophet said, “If something waivers in your soul, you should leave it.”

Ya Allah, I spend my days iqnoring you, my nights disobeying you, but you've never forgotten me even for a second. Ya Allah, please forgive me, guide me and change me.
Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Satan said: By Your might, O Lord, I will continue to mislead the children of Adam, as long as their souls are in their bodies. The Lord said: By My might and majesty, I will continue to forgive them, as long as they seek My forgiveness.”

Ask Allah for forgiveness and
Allah SWT will keep forgiving the slave as long as they ask his forgiveness.
Narrated Abu Huraira:
I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying." By Allah! I ask for forgiveness from Allah and turn to Him in repentance more than seventy times a day."
[Sahih al-Bukhari 6307]
Allah ke rasool sas daily more than 70 times tauba karte theh, jab ke wo gunahon se paak theh. Magar hum gunehgar hone ke bawajood,
How many times a day do we repent?
...Our Lord! Do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake... [Quran 2:286]
Our Lord, forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day of Reckoning.’ [Quran 14 : 41]
Repentance is a great gift from Allah SWT. O Allah, we are very grateful to you for giving us the gift of repentance. If there was no source of forgiveness for our sins, we would have been ruined.
Be happy! Allah SWT gave you many ways for your sins to be erased. Here are some ways to wash out our sins.
Ibn Mas'ud (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "He who says:
'Astaghfir ullah-alladhi la ilaha illa Huwal-Haiyul-Qayyumu, wa atubu ilaihi
(I seek the forgiveness of Allah, there is no true god except Allah, the Ever-Living, the Self- Subsisting, and I turn to Him in repentance),' his sins will be forgiven even if he should have run away from the battlefield (while he was engaged in fighting for the Cause of Allah)."
[Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidhi and Al-Hakim (on conditions of Al-Bukhari and Muslim for accepting Hadith)].
[Riyad as-Salihin 1874]
This is the most superior way of asking forgiveness from Allah SWT.
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Whoever says,
'Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi,'
one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea.
[Sahih al-Bukhari 6405]
A single sincere repentance can erase thousands of sins.
Subhan Allah, this is the amazingly simple way to erase sin; please do it every day.
'A'isha reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
The acts most pleasing to Allah are those which are done continuously, even if they are small. and when 'A'isha did any act she did it continuously.
[Sahih Muslim 783b]
Narrated Abu Hurairah:
that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Indeed there is a Surah in the Qur'an of thirty Ayat, which intercedes for a man until he is forgiven. It is [Surah]
Tabarak Alladhi Biyadihil-Mulk."
[Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2891]
“Allah loves those who constantly repent and He loves those who purify themselves” (Quran 2:222)
Whoever purified himself succeeded, [Quran 91:9]
'Abdullah bin Busr said that :
the Prophet (saas) said: "Glad tidings to those who find a lot of seeking forgiveness in the record of their deeds."
[Sunan Ibn Majah 3818]
...And God will not punish them while they seek forgiveness. [Quran 8:33]
O you who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance! It may well be that your Lord will remit your sins from you and admit you into gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise)... [Quran 66:8]
Paradise will be full of forgiven sinners. May Allah make us among those who always turn to you in repentance.
Shaddad bin Aus (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The best supplication for seeking forgiveness (Syed-ul- Istighfar) is to say: 'Allahumma Anta Rabbi, la ilaha illa Anta, khalaqtani wa ana 'abduka, wa ana 'ala 'ahdika wa wa'dika mastata'tu, a'udhu bika min sharri ma sana'tu, abu'u laka bini'matika 'alayya, wa abu'u bidhanbi faghfir li, fa innahu la yaghfirudh-dhunuba illa Anta. (O Allah! You are my Rubb. There is no true god except You. You have created me, and I am Your slave, and I hold to Your Covenant as far as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge the favours that You have bestowed upon me, and I confess my sins. Pardon me, for none but You has the power to pardon).' He who supplicates in these terms during the day with firm belief in it and dies on the same day (before the evening), he will be one of the dwellers of Jannah; and if anyone supplicates in these terms during the night with firm belief in it and dies before the morning, he will be one of the dwellers of Jannah." [Al-Bukhari]. [Riyad as-Salihin 1875]
Turn to Allah before you return to Allah.
There is no guarantee of life,
don't delay in repentance. Live each day as your last day because death will come unannounced.
Maybe tomorrow is too late, use just 5 minutes to repent now.
A person might say he will repent tomorrow, but he may
fall asleep and never wake up. Please do not say, 'I will repent tomorrow,' but rather, 'Repent
now.' May Allah grant me true repentance before my death, and O Allah, please accept my
repentance before I die."
...Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) used to say: "When you survive till the evening, do not expect to live until the morning; and when you survive until the morning, do not expect to live until the evening; (do good deeds) when you are in good health before you fall sick, and (do good deeds) as long as you are alive before death strikes".
[Al- Bukhari].
[Riyad as-Salihin 470]
Now you still have time; breaths are still being taken, repentance is still accepted, good deeds can be
done, and sins can be abandoned. Before life ends and the door of repentance closes, bow before
your Lord and make a sincere and firm repentance.
Over 150,000 people die in this world every day, I thank to Allah for still giving me time to fix my Akhirah.
The three sins listed below are unforgivable. Be careful because it puts you at great risk.
Shirk is the greatest sin in Islam, leading to Hell. Shirk is a sin that Allah will not forgive unless you repent.
Surely, Allah does not forgive that a partner is ascribed to Him, and He forgives other than that to whom He wills. Whoever associates anyone with Allah, indeed has devised a tremendous sin. (Quran 4:48)
If you sincerely repent, Allah will forgive every possible sin, no matter how big it is.
But if one associates partner(s) with Allah and dies before repenting, they will go to hell.
It is narrated on the authority of Jabir that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said:
Messenger of Allah, what are the two things quite unavoidable? He replied: He who dies without associating anyone with Allah would (necessarily) enter Paradise and he who dies associating anything with Allah would enter the (Fire of) Hell.
[Sahih Muslim 93a]
How to purify yourself even if you've done unforgivable sins? And
what are the conditions of repentance?
1) Regret it sincerely.
2) Immediate stopping of doing that sin.
3) Firm intention not to repeat it.
4) Ask for forgiveness sincerely.
…O my Lord! I have indeed wronged my soul, please forgive me… [Quran 28:16]
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Whoever has oppressed another person concerning his reputation or anything else, he should beg him to forgive him before the Day of Resurrection when there will be no money (to compensate for wrong deeds), but if he has good deeds, those good deeds will be taken from him according to his oppression which he has done, and if he has no good deeds, the sins of the oppressed person will be loaded on him."
[Sahih al-Bukhari 2449]
How to repent if the sin involves a human's rights?
When you commit sin, you can ask Allah for forgiveness, and Allah can forgive you. But when you hurt someone, Allah cannot forgive you unless the victim forgives and
returns their rights, if any.
The scholars have said it is necessary to repent of every sin. If the offense is between the servant and Allah Almighty, unrelated to the rights of a human being, then it has three conditions: First, to stop committing it. Second, to feel regret for committing it. Third, to be determined not to recommit it. If one of these three is missing, one’s repentance is not sound.
If the offense is related to a human being, then its conditions are four: these three and fulfilling the rights of those involved.
If it involves property and so on, it is restored to him.
And similarly, if you have ever committed backbiting, wronged someone, or violated anyone’s
rights in any way, go and seek forgiveness from them today. Otherwise, you will face severe
accountability on the Day of Judgment.
O Allah, if I hurt others, give me the courage to apologize.
It has been reported on the authority of 'Amr b. al-'As that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
All the sins of a Shahid (martyr) are forgiven except
debt.
[Sahih Muslim 1886a]
O Allah, grant us the ability to repay our debts before we die.
The prohibition against disclosing one's own sins.
Narrated Abu Huraira:
I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying.
"All the sins of my followers will be forgiven except those of the Mujahirin (those who commit a sin openly or disclose their sins to the people).
An example of such disclosure is that a person commits a sin at night and though Allah screens it from the public, then he comes in the morning, and says, 'O so-and-so, I did such-and-such (evil) deed yesterday,' though he spent his night screened by his Lord (none knowing about his sin) and in the morning he removes Allah's screen from himself."
[Sahih al-Bukhari 6069]
...and let not your own hands throw you into destruction… [Quran 2:195]
Narrated Safwan bin Muhriz:
While Ibn `Umar was performing the Tawaf (around the Ka`ba), a man came up to him and said, "O Abu `AbdurRahman!" or said, "O Ibn `Umar! Did you hear anything from the Prophet (ﷺ) about An35 Najwa?" Ibn `Umar said, "I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, 'The Believer will be brought near his Lord." (Hisham, a sub-narrator said, reporting the Prophet's words),
"The believer will come near (his Lord) till his Lord covers him with His screen and makes him confess his sins. (Allah will ask him), 'Do you know (that you did) 'such-and-such sin?" He will say twice, 'Yes, I do.' Then Allah will say, 'I concealed it in the world and I forgive it for you today.'
Then the record of his good deeds will be folded up. As for the others, or the disbelievers, it will be announced publicly before the witnesses: 'These are ones who lied against their Lord."
[Sahih al-Bukhari 4685]
Narrated Al-Bara' ibn Azib:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Two Muslims will not meet and shake hands having their sins forgiven them before they separate.
[Sunan Abi Dawud 5212]
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "While a man was walking he felt thirsty and went down a well and drank water from it. On coming out of it, he saw a dog panting and eating mud because of excessive thirst. The man said, 'This (dog) is suffering from the same problem as that of mine. So he (went down the well), filled his shoe with water, caught hold of it with his teeth and climbed up and watered the dog. Allah thanked him for his (good) deed and forgave him." The people asked, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Is there a reward for us in serving (the) animals?" He replied, "Yes, there is a reward for serving any animate."
[Sahih al-Bukhari 2363]
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "A prostitute was forgiven by Allah, because, passing by a panting dog near a well and seeing that the dog was about to die of thirst, she took off her shoe, and tying it with her head-cover she drew out some water for it. So, Allah forgave her because of that."
[Sahih al-Bukhari 3321]
Such a simple act, Allah the most merciful, who loves to forgive, has given us countless
opportunities to seek forgiveness even with a little act of kindness. May Allah guide us.
